Derby on a train!

Derby on a train!

Hi! My name is Derby, as these humans like to refer to me as. However I prefer to think of myself as PRINCE Derby (it’s more fitting of my personality). I am a five year old Pembroke Welsh corgi that has always had puppy dreams of being famous. (Little did I know that day was approaching quicker than expected).
It all started when this family came, adopted me, and took me home with them to a farm; and boy was it a great place! Imagine a place where you can be let out of the house to run around for hours with 8 of my other four-legged canine brothers and sisters. We love chasing butterflies through the woods, basking in the sun and even taking a quick dip in the pond during the summer months when its gets so hot. When we are done playing outside and are ready to snooze on the couch, there was always someone to let us inside. While that was the best life I thought I could have, my mommy went off to college, no longer living on the farm. I was heartbroken, I no longer had someone to lift me up on my bed. What was a corgi to do? That was the start to all my problems, I was always being overshadowed by my much taller brothers and sisters who were constantly stealing all the attention just because they can stand taller than me (#corgiproblems). I had a GREAT but hard life up until the past two months.
Fast forward a few years and it’s now my moms senior year of college (and I couldn’t be more proud of her)! She has her own apartment now, the best part is, she let me come live with her! I now get to once again snooze on the bed while she’s in class and protect her with my ferocious bark any time someone new comes through the front door. (While my bark is ferocious, it’s never intended to hurt anyone). With me being the only canine in the apartment, you can only imagine the amount of attention I get now!
Okay, back to me being famous, so everyday my mommy takes me on walks around the neighborhood where I hear the corgis in the neighborhood talking about their latest upload to this thing they call CorgiAddict. Naturally, I needed to know what this was all about so, I persuaded my owner to post a picture of me preforming one of my many tricks, surfing, onto this so called website. Boy, was I a hit! I had over 350 re-blogs overnight! It’s never felt so good to be me, I finally found a place where my short legs no longer prohibit me from getting all the attention I’m not used to having. With the recent barking in the park of my surfing picture I knew it was my time to shine. This blog will be dedicated to pictures and videos featuring myself, Prince Derby, doing the things I do best; being cute!
I hope to have many re-blogs in the future, so don’t forget about me, follow me!
